Trévor Wye

Il prend ses première leçons à l'âge de 15 ans. Il ne souhaite pas étudier au Conservatoire où une autre école de musique. Il n'obtiendra aucun des diplômes habituels.

Il prend seulement des cours privés avec Geoffrey Gilbert. Il sera aussi influencé par sa rencontre avec Alfred Deller, William Bennett et surtout Marcel Moyse.

Il est l'auteur d'un livre sur la pratique de la flûte, qui recevra un chaleureux accueil et augmentera sa popularité. Il joue avec succès dans le monde entier, il fera un triomphe avec "flutes fantastic !" un récital qui inclut "46 variations on the Carnival in Venice" pour 58 flûtes.

Il enseigne pendant 22 ans à Guildhal School of Music à Londres et au Royal Northern College of Music à Manchester.
